The ground rules for shopping with us — no legalese required.

Welcome to Paddle & Pour. When you shop with us, browse our site, or use any of our services, you're agreeing to the terms laid out below. We've done our best to keep this readable — but some of it is necessarily legal in nature. If anything's unclear, don't hesitate to reach out.

Your Account

To shop with us, you need to be at least the age of majority in your state or province. When you create an account or place an order, the information you provide — name, email, shipping address, payment details — needs to be accurate and up to date. That's how we make sure your coffee ends up at the right door.

Your account is yours. Keep your login credentials safe, and don't share or transfer your account to anyone else. You're responsible for anything that happens under your login.

Our Products

We work hard to represent our products accurately — but screens can be tricky. Colors, textures, and tones may look a little different depending on your device. We can't guarantee that what you see on screen will be a perfect match in person.

Product descriptions, pricing, and availability are subject to change. We reserve the right to discontinue any product or limit quantities at our discretion.

Orders & Pricing

When you place an order, you're making an offer to purchase. We do our best to fulfill every order, but we reserve the right to decline or cancel an order for any reason — and if that happens, we'll let you know. Your order isn't final until we confirm acceptance and process payment.

Prices are what's listed at the time you order and will be confirmed in your order email. Unless stated otherwise, prices don't include taxes, shipping, or any applicable customs charges. We may run promotions from time to time — those will have their own terms, which take priority over these if there's a conflict.

All purchases are for personal use. We're not a wholesale or resale operation — just a small-batch coffee company shipping directly to you.

Shipping & Delivery

We ship orders promptly, but all delivery estimates are just that — estimates. Once your order is in the carrier's hands, the timeline is out of ours. We're not liable for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, customs, or other events beyond our control. Risk of loss transfers to you once the carrier picks up your package.

Your Content & Feedback

If you leave a review, send us a suggestion, or share any other content with us, you're giving us permission to use it — to improve the store, feature on our site, or share in our marketing. You keep ownership, but we get a license to use it. Make sure anything you share is yours to share, and keep it respectful.

Intellectual Property

Everything on this site — the writing, the photos, the design, the brand — belongs to Paddle & Pour (or our licensors). You're welcome to browse and shop, but please don't copy, reproduce, or redistribute our content without written permission. Our name, logos, and product designs are our trademarks. Shopify's branding belongs to Shopify.

Third-Party Links & Tools

Our site may include links to other websites or tools provided by third parties. We don't control those, and we're not responsible for their content, accuracy, or policies. If you click through to a third-party site, their terms apply — not ours. We'd encourage you to read their policies before engaging with them.

Our Relationship with Shopify

Paddle & Pour is powered by Shopify, which provides the technology that runs our store. But when you buy from us, you're buying from Paddle & Pour — not from Shopify. Shopify isn't responsible for the products we sell or any aspect of your transaction with us.

Privacy

Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. Because our store runs on Shopify, some of your data is also subject to Shopify's Privacy Policy. By using our site, you acknowledge you've read both.

Things We Ask You Not to Do

This should go without saying, but please use our site lawfully and respectfully. Don't use it to harass anyone, spread false information, distribute spam, scrape data, transmit malware, or violate anyone's rights. Don't try to circumvent our site's security or impersonate someone else. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms.

Errors & Corrections

Occasionally, a typo slips through — a wrong price, a product description that's slightly off, or a shipping estimate that doesn't add up. We reserve the right to correct errors and update information at any time, even after you've placed an order. If a correction affects your order, we'll reach out to you.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated version here. If something changes significantly, we'll make sure you know. Continued use of the site after updates are posted means you accept the new terms.

The sections below contain standard legal provisions that apply to your use of our services. They're written in more formal language because they need to be legally precise — but they're an important part of these terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services and all products offered through them are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that your use of the services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paddle & Pour, Shopify, and our respective partners, directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or replacement costs — whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise, arising from your use of the services or any products purchased through them.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paddle & Pour, Shopify, and our affiliates from any losses, damages, liabilities, or claims (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your violation of any law or third-party rights, or your use of the services.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Paddle & Pour is headquartered. You and Paddle & Pour consent to venue and personal jurisdiction in the courts of that jurisdiction.

Severability & Waiver

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later. These terms, together with our posted policies, represent the entire agreement between you and Paddle & Pour.

Assignment

You may not transfer or assign your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer or assign ours without notice.

Termination

We may terminate your access to the services at any time, at our discretion. The sections on intellectual property, feedback, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, governing law, and any provisions that by nature should survive will continue to apply after termination.
